Immigration Partnership Fund for Immigrant and Refugee Initiatives

Immigration Partnership Waterloo Region Lolo

The Immigration Partnership Fund for Immigrant and Refugee Initiatives is a legacy fund to carry forward the incredible generosity of residents who supported refugees arriving in Waterloo Region from Syria in 2015/16. It is a call to action to continue to support organizations and initiatives that enable immigrants and refugees to reach their full potential and contribute to a thriving, prosperous community for everyone.

Right now, the Government of Canada is working to resettle up to 40,000 Afghan refugees and will welcome an unlimited number of Ukrainians nationals fleeing war. Together with refugees from other countries that arrive in Waterloo Region on a regular basis, individuals and families from Afghanistan and Ukraine have started to arrive in our community.

Donations made to this fund will be distributed as part of the current efforts to support programs and initiatives for Ukrainians, Afghans and other refugees starting their new life in Waterloo Region.

Thank you so much for helping provide such a warm welcome to immigrants and refugees - your actions are helping to build community through immigration.
