What are Specialized Criteria Grants?
Specialized Criteria Grants are application streams with very specific criteria. Each fund is adjudicated by its own separate committee. Grants are awarded at the grassroots level to registered charitable organizations with application intakes that occur throughout the year.
Waterloo Region Record and Lyle S. Hallman Foundation Kids to Camp Fund
The Kids to Camp Fund provides grants to organizations who provide camping opportunities and are seeking funds for children and youth in need of financial assistance to attend a variety of day, overnight recreational and educational camps.
International Plowing Match (1995 and 2012) Fund
The International Plowing Match (1995 and 2012) Fund provides grants to organizations whose services benefit the citizens of Waterloo Region and that focus on agriculture, health and/or education.
Woolwich Community Fund
The Woolwich Community Fund provides grants to organizations whose services that benefit the citizens of Woolwich Township. These grants support capital expenditures and seed money for new initiatives.
Waterloo Region Record Literacy Fund
The Waterloo Region Record Literacy Fund provides grants to organizations that support literacy series for adults, English language training for newcomers, literacy activities for children and other activities that have a significant impact on literacy in Waterloo Region.
Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund
The Youth in Recreation Fund provides grants to organizations that encourage broad participation in healthy and safe community recreation activities for children and youth in Kitchener-Waterloo and area. Community recreation includes sport, recreation, fitness, youth leadership, camping/outdoor education, play groups, the arts and cultural activities.
