Factors that can reduce the impact of Social Isolation

KWCF is proud to be a funder of the 2018 Waterloo Region Community Wellbeing Survey. Analysis of the information gathered through the survey is being released as teams dig further into the data. Most recently, this includes an analysis, completed by the Canadian Index of Wellbeing, of factors that can reduce the impact of social isolation on overall wellbeing in Waterloo Region for three groups of interest: (1) low income residents – those residents with annual incomes under $30,000; (2) younger residents – those aged 16 to 29 years; and (3) residents living with a disability or chronic illness that limits their ability to participate in community.

Are you ALL IN?

LipOffKW is KW’s only lip-sync battle fundraiser and every year they partner with a different local initiative looking to make a positive difference in our community. This year they are partnering up with ALL IN 2020, a campaign that is raising awareness and resources to end chronic homelessness in Waterloo Region by November 2020.

Join us on November 7th, 2019 at the Apollo Cinema in Kitchener for a night of friendly competition as soloists and teams rock out to their favourite songs! Tickets can be purchased here.

You can also donate directly to ALL IN 2020 via Canada Helps. For more information on this fundraiser, please visit lipoffkw.com.
