Release date: September 10th, 2018

The Township of Woolwich is excited to announce its newest grants partner, Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF).

The Grow with Woolwich events will begin in the fall of 2018 thanks to $10,000 in grant funding from KWCF for events over the next two years.

The Township of Woolwich will be offering a number of free, accessible and inclusive community events, heading in to the holiday season. These events will be held in partnership with community groups and recreation associations who collectively identify opportunities to improve wellbeing, foster a sense of belonging, and build our capacity for social inclusion in Woolwich. The initiatives align well with the Wellbeing Waterloo Region initiatives. Wellbeing Waterloo Region is a community led initiative working together across sectors to improve wellbeing of residents. Community wellbeing is shaped by a variety of conditions, in which individuals and communities are born, work, live and play.

With community events right in your back yard, we hope to encourage residents to come together and continue to build a strong, vibrant, active and engaged community. Watch for details this fall on a community event near you - want to get involved or for more information?
