Waterloo, Ontario — Monday, May 7th - Kiite, the world’s first intelligent sales coach, today announced the launch of the Kiite Community Fund. The fund, which is held at the Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation (KWCF), was established as part of Kiite’s public commitment to help make their community a better place to live, work and play.

Established with a corporate gift, ongoing financial contributions will be made by both the company and Kiite employees. Under the management of KWCF, all donations will be invested into a permanent endowment, which donates 4% of the value of the fund annually to Canadian charities in need.

“We are thrilled to be working in partnership with an organization as impactful and as respected as the KWCF”, said Kiite Co-Founder & CEO, Joseph Fung, “And we’re proud of the work our team has put into designing a giving program that is scalable, easy to implement, and which engages employees in such critical ways.”

Every Kiite employee is given the choice to opt-in or out at any point, giving them the flexibility to easily contribute when they’re able, and stop when they need or want to. At launch, over 80% of Kiite employees are participating.

Grants from the Kiite Community Fund will be directed to local charities under the coaching of the KWCF. “Establishing the Kiite Community Fund is a great step in the right direction for the local tech community.  Traditional funding sources operate in tighter and tighter parameters. Charities increasingly count on donations as an important contribution that allows this creative community to thrive.” said Joe Mancini founder of The Working Centre.

In 2017, the KWCF granted approximately $3.2M to 210 charitable organizations in our community, like The Working Centre, the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. “A community with vibrant arts and culture attracts talent and investment, is more cohesive and feels a more pleasant place in which to live and work.  There is evidence that culture is the ‘glue’ that holds a community together, holds up a mirror to contemporary issues and stimulates its future growth.” said Andrew Bennett, Executive Director of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. “KWCF has a great track record in stewarding financial support for the arts and directing resources where they are most effective.  This initiative by Kiite and its employees deserves to be copied right across the community.”

“We are thrilled that Kiite has made the decision to establish a corporate fund at the KWCF,” said Elizabeth Heald, President & CEO, Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation. “Our goal is to make it easy for people to do more good. Having a local well-respected technology company step forward provided us with the opportunity to develop a new streamlined approach to support their philanthropic goals that can be adapted to assist other companies wanting to give back to the community now – and leave a corporate legacy.”

Through ongoing education and guidance from the KWCF, this partnership will help support Kiite employees and future leaders on their journey to become better community members, become better donors and learn about how they can effectively assist our community as a whole. This program will act as a cornerstone to Kiite’s ongoing philanthropic and community engagement activities.
