I had to send you an email to tell you about our sitters RAK moment. Every year the kids go to Tim Hortons and buy some of the local people a coffee in celebration of RAK Day.
One of our neighbours puts up big air balloon animals for every season (Halloween is a big cat) and all the neighbourhood kids love them. This year, on devils night someone vandalized their house and ruined the giant cat (it was about 8 ft tall.) So sad for all the little kids who loved seeing it every season. So, Michelle our sitter and the kids wrote a nice letter and donated the money they usually use to buy "coffee for a stranger" on RAK Day to this family for some new decorations. Michelle is one of the most thoughtful people I know, the kids all learned a very important message this year. Anyway, I wanted to tell you because this has been one of the most memorable RAK Day's I've had!
Thanks to the community foundation for reminding us all how important community is!
