On Friday Nov 4 2011 we dropped off flowers to one of our clients who recently had her 5th child. We just received an e-mail this morning with her warm thank you….
While at the corner of King and Ottawa handing out The Record: people were very appreciative of the gift of the paper. I even had a few drive by and honk their horns. One person at the light said "but I am not from Kitchener" I said that's ok it is our gift and it will be a treat to hear our local news. She accepted the paper with a smile…
We had a local flower shop Simply Elegant donate 2 dozen carnations to hand out; we attached blue ribbon and the RAK card to the flower along with the flower shops business card… WOW we have lots of stories of smiles. One was at the gas station across the street; we approached a lady pumping gas to hand her the flower however startled her and she said now that deserves 2 flowers.:) One person came into the bank and was handed a flower; she said her day was perfect.
We had a GET WELL card for one of our staff who's dog Jodi is really sick. It was signed by all staff and left on her desk to forward to her dog.
One of our tellers wrote a poem for our assistant manager ; that had 7 verses to it; and each of the tellers read out loud to her the poem (it was actually very touching - and we have it taped to her cubicle now) it was read in the morning just before we opened the doors to the public as we have a daily huddle where we all meet together in the morning.
