What are Community Grants?
Community Grants will be distributed in the Spring and the Fall to support a wide range of projects in the areas of affordable housing, healthy child and youth development, and social inclusion.
Who can apply to a Community Grant?
Registered Charitable Organizations who reside in and serve the citizens of Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding communities.
In our Spring intake, there will be 3 granting levels you can apply to:
As your funding request increases, so will the amount of information collected in our applications – unless you have received funding in the past two years. In those instances we will work with you to understand the information we already have on file and may be able to reduce the information you need to provide.
You may submit up to 2 applications in our Spring intake, with no more than one at the highest level. We will do our financial review once the pre-screen closes. From there, projects with a greater chance of approval through our Grants Committees will be invited to fill out a full application for review and potential approval through our Grants Committee comprised of Volunteers from across the Community.
We will use the same process for the Fall Grants intake however funding will be available only through granting Levels 1 and 2. Unsuccessful applicants in the Spring intake can roll over to the Fall with no re-application process.
